Quick answer
We serve Cleveland County, including Norman and Moore, from our service office on the south side of Oklahoma City. Homes in the county are on either OG&E or the Oklahoma Electric Cooperative depending on the address, which matters for meter pulls and service upgrades. Storm damage, shelter wiring, panel upgrades and generator work are the jobs we are called for most often here.
Homes in Cleveland County
What the housing looks like in Cleveland County
Cleveland County mixes college-town neighborhoods in Norman, the rebuilt streets of Moore and plenty of suburban and rural property in between. Moore has been hit by an F5 tornado in 1999, an F4 in 2003 and an EF5 in 2013, and large parts of the city were rebuilt to newer building rules. The May 20, 2013 tornado alone caused about 61,500 power outages.
For electrical work that history means two kinds of houses side by side: newer rebuilt homes with modern panels and plenty of capacity, and older homes on the edges of the storm paths that still have their original service. We treat them differently from the first visit.

Utility and permits
Utility, permits and inspections in Cleveland County
Electric service in the county is split. The Oklahoma Electric Cooperative began here, when farmers in Cleveland and McClain counties banded together and formed the co-op in 1937, and it still serves much of the suburban and rural county from Norman. Other addresses are on OG&E. Before any panel upgrade, generator or meter work we confirm which utility serves the address, because the meter pull and reconnection go through them.
